WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06), a member of the House Appropriations Committee, today secured over $14.5 million for transportation and workforce development projects in Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District. He is both the only freshman and only member of the Arizona congressional delegation on the House Appropriations Committee.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) announced that he was named by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (CA-20) to a new congressional task force aimed at combating Mexican cartels. The task force will be led by Congressman Dan Crenshaw (TX-02).

TUCSON, Ariz. – U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani (R-AZ-06) introduced a new effort this week to honor former Congressman Jim Kolbe, who represented the state from 1985 – 2007. Prior to being elected to Congress, Kolbe served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 – 1977 and the Arizona state legislature from 1977 – 1982. Today, June 28, would have been Kolbe’s 81st birthday.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani, the only Mexican-born member of the House Republican Conference, joined his colleagues Andrew Garbarino (NY-02) and Anthony D’Esposito (NY-04) in introducing legislation last week to increase vetting requirements and improve screenings for sponsors of unaccompanied children at the U.S.-Mexico border.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) released the following statement as Congress re-examines a vote to censure Adam Schiff next week:

"My concerns with the bill have been addressed and I will be voting YES this coming week to censure Adam Schiff.

"Schiff’s behavior has been irresponsible, dangerous and damaging to our country. It is critical that the legislation to hold him accountable be constitutionally sound in order to avoid any games some will inevitably try to play.

The funds were provisionally awarded during this week’s House Appropriations Committee markups, one of the initial stages of the committee’s annual budget process.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) on Thursday released a statement following his vote to table a motion to censure Adam Schiff:

"Adam Schiff has clearly behaved dangerously and irresponsibly, which is why earlier this year I supported his removal from the House Intelligence Committee.

"This week's vote was a procedural motion, not a vote to censure. A vote to censure, which included fines, should be taken seriously, which is why I disagreed with Pelosi’s arbitrary censuring and unconstitutional fines on Republicans.
