Congressman Ciscomani Champions Clean Energy Investment at Kitt Solar Project in Eloy

November 2, 2026

'Arizona’s energy needs are growing rapidly, and projects like Kitt Solar are essential to meeting that demand while creating good-paying jobs and attracting investment to our communities.'

Eloy, AZ - Congressman Juan Ciscomani recently toured the Kitt Solar project currently under construction in Eloy, underscoring his commitment to advancing Arizona’s energy future. The Congressman highlighted the project as a model for supporting American energy production and driving economic growth in local communities across Southern Arizona, including Eloy. Once complete, Kitt Solar will deliver up to 100 megawatts of clean electricity paired with advanced battery storage, enough to power approximately 32,000 Arizona homes. The project supported nearly 500 well-paying jobs at peak construction earlier this year, while boosting business for local restaurants, markets, and small businesses throughout Eloy.

"Arizona’s energy needs are growing rapidly, and projects like Kitt Solar are essential to meeting that demand while creating good-paying jobs and attracting investment to our communities," said Congressman Juan Ciscomani. "It was inspiring to witness the progress underway in Eloy and to learn about the opportunities this project brings to local families. In Congress, I have worked to protect the incentives that make initiatives like Kitt Solar possible. We need an all-of-the-above approach that keeps energy affordable, reliable, and made in America."

Ciscomani has been a vocal advocate for protecting domestic energy production of all kinds and ensuring American businesses have the certainty to invest and expand. During the debate on the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, he signed multiple letters to Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith and House leadership, urging them to safeguard clean energy tax incentives and prevent abrupt disruptions that could hinder growth.

In Congress, Ciscomani also spearheaded efforts to support American energy production and strengthen domestic manufacturing, particularly for battery storage components. His advocacy helped preserve critical incentives that benefit projects like Kitt Solar, which utilizes federal tax credits for its battery systems and the overall project. Earlier this year, the Congressman was awarded the American Energy Champion Award by the American Energy Alliance for his all-of-the-above energy approach.

"We are proud to bring the Kitt Solar project to Eloy and invest in the community and Arizona’s energy future," said Antonia Castro-Graham, Senior Vice President of Policy & Regulatory Affairs at Avantus. "We were glad to welcome Congressman Ciscomani to see firsthand the impact this project is having, from nearly 500 construction jobs to decades of local tax revenue. Kitt Solar exemplifies how clean energy investment delivers lasting benefits to local communities and helps meet the rising demand for reliable electricity."

Arizona’s continued growth relies on robust energy infrastructure to support new homes, businesses, and industries. Investments in energy generation and storage are vital to meeting these needs. Projects like Kitt Solar are expanding the resources necessary for Southern Arizona’s future and bringing new economic opportunities to communities like Eloy.
