Ciscomani Announces Senior Staff Promotions for the 119th Congress

WASHINGTON - U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) is pleased to announce key promotions within his senior staff, which will take effect at the start of the 119th Congress. 

Alyssa Anderson will now serve as Chief of Staff. Currently, Anderson serves as Deputy Chief of Staff, based in Washington, D.C. While she is from Arizona, Anderson has worked in several offices on Capitol Hill spanning 9 years, including working for Majority Whip Tom Emmer (MN-06) and Congressman Dan Crenshaw (TX-02). Anderson has been with Rep. Ciscomani’s office since the start of his freshman congressional tenure. 

Caroline Bender will also assume a new role in Rep. Ciscomani’s office as Deputy Chief of Staff. Since joining Rep. Ciscomani’s office at the start of the 118th Congress, Bender has served as Legislative Director, Prior to joining the office, she worked for Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) for the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and for former Senator Jon Kyl (AZ). Bender has been instrumental in Rep. Ciscomani’s role on both the Appropriations and Veterans’ Affairs committees. 

Andres Kardonski, a bilingual Capitol Hill communications professional, will be promoted from Press Secretary to Director of Communications. Kardonski previously worked for Rep. Carlos Gimenez (FL-28). 

“Alyssa Anderson, an Arizona native, is an experienced Capitol Hill professional who has repeatedly demonstrated her strong leadership qualities and ability to execute initiatives with precision,” said Ciscomani. “This promotion reflects my trust and confidence in her professionalism and abilities. As I continue to work to deliver for Arizona’s 6th Congressional District, I am grateful to have Alyssa leading my office.” 

“Caroline Bender has been key to executing my legislative agenda to push our district and our nation forward,” said Ciscomani. “Her legislative expertise in immigration, foreign affairs, and homeland security issues have served our district and office well. Caroline’s breadth of knowledge has been instrumental in seeing six of my bills pass the House of Representatives during my freshman term in office. In addition to her new duties, Caroline will continue to lead my legislative efforts.” 

“While only being with my office for a little over six months, Andres Kardonski has proven himself a capable and respected communicator and I am proud to promote him to Director of Communications,” said Ciscomani. “From working with local, state, and national press outlets to carrying out my message in both English and Spanish, Andres’ expertise is vital to the success of our office. His continued professionalism and focus will ensure the people of Arizona’s 6th Congressional District stay informed about my ongoing work, priorities and efforts that benefit our district.” 

“A very special thank you to my current Chief of Staff, Becky Freeman,” said Ciscomani. “Becky and I opened the doors of our office together 2 years ago and she played an indispensable role in assembling our strong team, establishing a culture of customer service, and delivering on our policy agenda. As we move into the 119th Congress, I look forward to continue working with Becky as Senior Advisor to deliver for Arizona 6th District. I am very proud of the work our team accomplished in the 118th Congress and am looking forward to delivering results again in the 119th with our new leadership team.”
