Ciscomani Accepting Submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition

February 27, 2026

Tucson, AZ - Congressman Juan Ciscomani is proud to announce that submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition are now open. Each spring, this nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives and is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our Congressional District.

The Congressional Art Competition is open to all high school students in Arizona’s Sixth District. The winning artwork of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured on House.gov's Congressional Art Competition page.

The deadline for submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition is Thursday, April 16, 2026.

As this July 4th marks the semi quincentennial anniversary of the birth of our nation, students are encouraged but not required to use the 250th theme in their submissions.

"The annual Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to shine a light on the many talented young artists in Arizona’s 6th Congressional District," said Congressman Ciscomani. "I look forward to seeing the art, meeting the artists and showing off the winning work in the Capitol Building."
