“It’s an incredible honor to be named Public Servant of the Year by the THCC – and a truly full circle moment,” said Congressman Ciscomani, who served as the THCC’s Vice President of Outreach from 2011 – 2015. “As the first immigrant from Mexico to serve in Congress from Arizona, I am honored to represent our community and advocate for the people and the place I call home. The individuals, organizations, and businesses that make up the THCC are the drivers of what truly matters in our communities: creating jobs, signing paychecks, building strong communities – the foundation for the American Dream. A Dream my parents went after and have achieved. I am humbled by this recognition from an organization I so deeply appreciate and was grateful to celebrate alongside my entire family.”
“Rep. Juan Ciscomani has proven to be a strong advocate for our region and a great ally to the chamber in Congress,” said Rob Elias, THCC President and CEO, and Karla Bernal Morales, THCC Board Chair, in a joint statement. “His work has impacted communities across southeastern Arizona and we are excited to name him our 2023 Public Servant of the Year.”
