Congressman Juan Ciscomani Hosts OBBBA Roundtable with AZ06 Leaders to Highlight Wins for Border Security, Economic Growth, Tax Relief, and Local Communities

TUCSON, AZ – Congressman Juan Ciscomani convened a diverse group of Arizona business, community and policy leaders for a roundtable discussion on the recently passed H.R. 1 – the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), highlighting key wins for border security, economic development, tax relief, and local priorities.

“The One Big Beautiful Bill is about delivering real results for the people of Southern Arizona — strengthening our border, boosting our economy, providing tax relief, and ensuring our communities have the resources they need to thrive,” said Congressman Ciscomani. “Today’s conversation brought together voices from agriculture, law enforcement, technology, construction, real estate, small business owners, and beyond — all highlighting how the One Big Beautiful Bill delivers on permanent tax cuts, secures our border, and spurs economic growth, and how they are committed to making Arizona stronger.”

During the event, Congressman Ciscomani outlined how OBBBA delivers meaningful results for Arizona, including enhanced border enforcement tools, regulatory relief for small businesses, infrastructure investments, targeted tax provisions, and support for local industries. Attendees shared firsthand how these provisions will positively impact their sectors and communities.

OBBBA contains key measures to:

  • Secure the Border – Providing enhanced technology, staffing, and resources to Customs and Border Protection.
  • Grow the Economy – Cutting red tape and supporting industries vital to Arizona’s growth.
  • Deliver Tax Relief – Extending the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act provisions, protecting generational wealth for farmers and ranchers, providing estate tax relief, and supporting tax benefits for non-profits to better serve communities.
  • Invest in Infrastructure – Funding transportation, water, and broadband projects across the state.
  • Support Local Priorities – Addressing community-specific needs raised by stakeholders.

Congressman Ciscomani emphasized that the bill’s success reflects the importance of collaboration between federal, state, and local partners, and reaffirmed his commitment to continuing these conversations to keep Arizona moving forward.

The OBBBA passed the U.S. House on July 3, 2025, and was signed by President Trump on Friday, July 4, 2025. July 4, 2025 marks the date of enactment for the tax provisions.
