Marana, AZ - Congressman Juan Ciscomani today welcomed U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler to Post Farms in Marana, where they joined local farmers, producers, and agricultural leaders to announce the Great American Cotton Plan.
The visit highlighted the critical role Arizona agriculture plays in supporting the nation’s economy, supply chains, and rural communities, while underscoring ongoing efforts to strengthen America’s domestic cotton industry and support producers across the country.
"Arizona’s farmers and producers are the backbone of our economy and an essential part of our nation’s food and supply chain security," said Congressman Ciscomani. "I was proud to welcome Secretary Rollins for her first visit to Arizona and SBA Administrator Loeffler to Post Farms in Marana to highlight the hardworking men and women who keep Arizona agriculture strong. The Great American Cotton Plan is an important step toward supporting domestic cotton production, strengthening rural economies, and ensuring American producers can continue competing on a level playing field. As Arizona’s only member of the House Appropriations Committee, I will continue fighting to ensure our agricultural communities have the tools and support they need to thrive."
During the visit, Congressman Ciscomani joined Secretary Rollins, Administrator Loeffler, and local stakeholders for a discussion about the challenges facing agricultural producers, the importance of supporting American-grown products, and opportunities to strengthen rural economies throughout Arizona and across the country.

In addition to the roundtable participants, approximately 30 national cotton industry leaders, statewide agriculture stakeholders, and local elected officials attended the event in support of Arizona agriculture and America’s cotton industry.
Agriculture remains a major economic driver in southern Arizona, supporting jobs, local businesses, and communities throughout Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District. Congressman Ciscomani has continued advocating for policies that support Arizona farmers, strengthen water and infrastructure resources, and promote long-term agricultural growth and competitiveness.
