Ciscomani Leads Letter to CBP Commissioner on Border Priority Projects in Southeastern Arizona

August 19, 2025

TUCSON– Today, Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) led a letter to Rodney Scott, Commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, on local priority projects and needs for the southern border after the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) was passed into law just over two months ago.

The OBBBA allocated more than $64 billion to the agency for border security missions.

In the letter, Congressman Ciscomani wrote:

“While at home in Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District this month, my staff and I have had the opportunity to visit with local U.S. Customs and Border Protection leadership to discuss the highest local priority needs. As a result of these conversations, I write today to urge your agency to fund critical projects in Arizona, which I believe will make our state and nation stronger and the border more secure.”

In the letter, Congressman Ciscomani highlighted the most urgent needs for CBP in southern Arizona. You may click HERE or scroll below to read the full letter to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
