Ciscomani Joins Resolution Honoring Gold Star Families
TUCSON – Rep. Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) joined Rep. Dan Newhouse (WA-04) on a bipartisan resolution in the House of Representatives designating the week of September 21-27, 2025, as Gold Star Families Remembrance Week.
“Gold Star Families embody the strength and courage on behalf of their loved ones who made the ultimate sacrifice. These fearless men and women lost a family member who fought to protect the freedoms we take advantage of every day,” Congressman Ciscomani said. “I’m honored to join my colleagues to honor these families in Congress with this resolution. As a representative of Arizona’s sixth congressional district that is home to almost 80,000 veterans, I will always fight to be your voice in Washington to show our appreciation, and especially for those who lost their lives protecting our privileges in the United States.”
A Gold Star Family is a family who has lost an immediate family member while serving on active duty in the armed services of the United States.
Rep. Ciscomani joined Rep. Newhouse and 64 other colleagues in introducing the resolution to honor these families across the country. Original cosponsors include:
